[CJ ONE= December 21, 2018 (Friday)] CJ ONE, the integrated lifestyle membership service of CJ, announced that the number of members who benefitted from the culture invitation promotions held this year surpassed 80,000. Started in 2017, the promotions have surpassed accumulated applicants of 1.3 million and 150,000 member viewers.

CJ ONE has invited its members to differentiated performances and exhibitions in line with CJ’s image as a “culture creator”. In particular, it worked in partnership with state and public agencies this year, including the National Museum of Korea, to expand opportunities for experiencing culture. As such, it has showcased differentiated culture marketing in the membership service business.

CJ ONE offered invitations to a total of 43 performances and exhibitions in 2018, and the number of members who applied for them amounted to about 700,000. Among them, 20% has participated multiple times (up to nine times) showing continued interest and a high level of satisfaction with the invitation promotions for cultural events.

The key to their popularity lies in having planned wide-ranging events that diverse consumers can enjoy, from exhibitions loved by all age groups, such as “Marc Chagall, Love and Life” and “Niki de Saint Phalle: works from the Masuda collection,” to exhibitions held at Daelim Museum targeting the “Generation Z”.

The exhibitions viewed by the greatest number of members this year was “Coco Capitan” at Daelim Museum and “Marc Chagall, Love and Life” at the Seoul Arts Center, in which about 20,000 and 7,000 members participated, respectively. These records were followed by “Alexander Girard: A Designer’s Universe” and “The Art of Aardman Animations: Wallace & Gromit & Friends” held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).

“Thanks to our steady efforts of discovering cultural events that diverse age groups can enjoy, the promotions have been loved by our members. We will steadily expand the partnering agencies and regions so that CJ ONE members may more easily access culture and arts that have both mainstream and artistic value,” Manager Cho Yeon-hwa of CJ ONE Marketing Team said.

CJ One is holding the last culture invitation promotion for the year at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. It is offering the opportunity to view artworks of Marcel Duchamp, who was a pioneer of 20th century contemporary art, through the “The Essential Duchamp” exhibition for the first time in Korea.

The museum is providing the benefit of 1+1 tickets to all CJ ONE members. Even if only one visits the museum, the person can enjoy a 50% discount on the ticket. Outside the exhibition hall, an experiencing space for “making my unique Marcel Duchamp exhibition” and a photo zone are set up, making it a perfect place to have an indoor dating course.

Any CJ ONE member can download the discount coupon from the CJ ONE mobile app, and present it at the box office to participate in the invitation promotion for “The Essential Duchamp.”  (The end)
